Dr. Solomon's is a brand that puts pain-relief first with a focus on nature and science. With a family legacy rooted in medicine, I chose a typeface fit for a 19th-century apothecary and then altered the letter s to bring a visual nod to transdermal absorption—going beyond the surface.

In combination with the apothecary look, a contemporary illustration of the female cannabis plant showered in blooms shows the appropriate touch of mother nature. The brand needed a flexible logo-system to allow it to fit various spaces and bring hierarchy to the doctor part of the name.

Creating accessibility for this rebrand created a new system of pain-relief; Unwind from a tough day, get immediate Relief, Bounce Back from a lack of energy, or get that Rest you've been needing and deserve. We've highlighted the amount of THC in our salmon for those who simply need to know, still have a classic visual ratio count, but simplified it all with the effect names in case the user didn't want to be bothered.

Instead of leaning only into science and making this as sterile as necessary medicine, we wanted this to actually stand out in the medicine cabinet with green. Utilizing that not quite neon but almost nuclear green in combination with the warm and spring salmon allows this product to be very findable and have a hint of a psychoactive feel.

Although the branding is changing, the mission to make the science and relief-capabilities of cannabis accessible will continue to be a priority to the Solomon family.  A thoughtful shift in messaging lets people know that Dr. Solomon's products are here to help with relief for all kinds of pain.
